I want to know everything about ORCUS

For a comprehensive summary of his ancient* history look here
*ancient = from his dawn in D&D up to the comming of 4e. Since 4e has basically hit the reset button as far as the D&D history is concerned it's unclear how much of this is still considered to have happened. As far as the new 4e history is concerned it started all with the 4e MM and there's nothing more

Did 4E "reset" Orcus' biography, or was he resurrected one more time?
Thanks for the links. Interesting info. Orcus surely was (is) a nasty fellow.
I'm terrorizing my PC's with visions and subtle clues of his existence as they are getting into the KotS setting. I hope that at one point they will face Orcus like in the Planescape module "Dead Gods". I plan on tempting one of the PC's, a cleric of the Raven Queen, to develop a secret crush on Orcus if he wants to play along with it.
Please note my avatar. It's Orcus as depicted in the original MM I (AD&D 1st edition). He kind of changed his appearance. He is less bloated now, and his head more goat/bull like now.

For core setting, the entire cosmology is different and everything has changed. We can't really assume anything about Orcus's background. For one thing, there's a different backstory for the creation of his wand. Two options:
1. Just use the old backstory and make up how he came back.
2. Wait for a Greyhawk/Planescape update and see if either addresses it.
