I recently bought a Sony Vaio RX-99 (or something like that, can't remember the exact code), and, man, is it niiiiice. ~2.5 lbs, 4-6 hour battery life, sharp little screen, usable keyboard, 850mhz processor, wireless networking, external CD-RW/DVD-ROM included...

I am running Roleplaying Master and Campaign Cartographer on it for gaming.

May I ask how much you spent?

I use a Sony Vaio as well. Large screen. Avg battery life.

I use it mainly for all the notes and stats on the monsters I use. Also I use jamis bucks' NPCGenerator to help build NPC's on the fly and equip them with NPCEq and BAM! instant NPC's.

I use PCGen to keep track of all my major NPC's and bad guys. I have each encounter on my computer with an excel spreadsheet to keep track of HP's and buffs on the baddies.

Also i use wireless to help stream in music and songs and mp3's to help get the PC's in the mood. Picutres are nice and maps are easy to display, just rotate the laptop screen and VOILA! instant map.

NOTE: Get as big a screen as you can afford. Trust me it makes ALL the difference in the world!

How do you save web pages for use at a later point? I'd like to get that spell list over at Daggerford.com, but can't seem to get all of the spells... Do I have to save them one by one?

Go upto FILE>SAVE AS and save

In my case, I went for the smallest model Sony made, because I wanted something I could carry with me everywhere, every day. I use it primarily to write on, and it's enabled me to churn out considerably more verbiage, as my ~hour commute each day is now 'productive writing time'. The utility as a gaming aid is a nice side effect. :)

I end up with a 1024*768 display, which is quite enough for what I'm doing. I keep reminding myself I worked for three years with a 512*311 display... (original mac screen).
