Isn't there already a monster like that, the DM? But, seriously, you really couldn't stat such a being into D&D cause can't they do anything they wished?

i don't think there is a monster like that in D&D

you can't count gods, because Q aren't gods. Not really. They're just cosmic crazies with severe boredom issues.

I think wish has limits though. More like:

Omnipotence (Sp) - An Q can, at any time, cause something to happen. It doesn't matter what, or if the effect breaks the rules of the game, or the rules of physics/reality for that matter. Whatever Q wants to do, it does.

I like it, I like it!
But then again, I'm evil and twisted, so factor that in. ;)

I could easily stat him out for you in Mutants & Masterminds: Cosmic Power +300.

:p

Actually, in M&M's Freedom City setting, there are two Q-like characters, Quirk and Mr. Infamy.

In both cases, the FC book says "We aren't giving these guys stats. They do whatever they want, whenever they want."

The Q are omnipotent, but not quite omniscient. Omnipotence doesn't have game stats. Nigh-omnisicence is a role-play thing more than anything else. They understand what happens, but they don't understand why when mortal choices are invovled.

actually....

there really isn't any such thing as omniscence.
at least, not since god or whatever up there gave us lower creatures free will....

oooo the headaches that caused when that happened.
omnipotence yes.
omniscence nope. not gonna happen.
ahhh the good ol days.
