IA: A Teacher for Laynie

[Rystil Arden]

*After about an hour, some students start exiting the classroom. After a while, Layna exits as well, talking to a last few stragglers who may have had questions to ask her. She spots Vanitri waiting, and after finishing with her students, she turns to see what he has to say.*

"Hey there. What's up?"

 

[Bront]

"Do you think you could help me get a sense of how well Gaark was actualy doing in school? I was hoping you might have access to some of his grades."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Oh, grades aren't in yet. The records are stored in the Archives, but only after the term finishes and the professor submits the grade. Of course, now with what happened, that isn't likely to happen for Gaark. If he was in the class with which I'm assisting, I could tell you how he seems to be doing there, but he wasn't. I'm sorry, Vanitri. Seems like you're investigating this, eh?"

 

[Bront]

"Yeah, just doesn't sit quite right, particularly the lack of body. Any chance you could find out from his professors what they thought of him as a student at least? I'd probably be less suspicious coming from you, particularly since you likely know them better than I."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Do you know which professors? If they're ones I generally talk to, then I would be glad to help. If it's professors I don't usually speak with, however, then it would be no less unusual coming from me than you."

 

[Bront]

"No, but I know his classes." Vanitri will tell her which classes Gaark was in.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"What, no Illusion classes? Well, I had Galton for history, but I don't talk to him much. I can definitely talk to Rayne. If Namander is teaching cantrips then I could have Damien ask--Namander was Damien's advisor."

 

[Bront]

"Great, even some insight would help. Let me know when you find anything, but if it's possable, do so as soon as you can. My biggest worry is that Gaark could be alive and in trouble, though I've seen no evidence of that either beyond the disapearance."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Okay, I'll talk to Rayne and see about Namander. I'll find you again later, or you can find me."

 

[Bront]

"Sounds like a plan. Thanks again Layna."

Van will see what else he can overhear while giving Lex some time to find herself, and her friend.
