D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil II

Fine wooden furniture, tapestries of green and gold, and a bearskin carpet decorate this richly appointed room—but the furniture has been scratched up, the tapestries badly torn, and the carpet rent with foot-long holes. To the northwest, a tattered green curtain screens off a large alcove. Two large heaps of dank pelts lie in the southern part of the chamber. A wet reek like rotten seaweed hangs in the air, and small crabs scuttle around the room.

Two large wet ogrish looking creatures stand guard. Upon being disturbed they ask, "What you doin?"

Maighan shakes her head and puts an arrow to nock.

"Now you're asking that?" she asks. "After putting sleeping men to the knife, you hesitate to attack these?"

"Well yes, these two look quite tough, just wanted to make sure we were all happy." Kubeba smiles.

Opening the door the black barbarian moves in, giving himself over to his tribal spirit, "We are here to kill you!" he laughs at the two large creatures.

The door swings open, Kubeba ready to charge. The creatures don't look unprepared, though not necessarily rushing at the door to swing at things.

Party can take actions.

Carradoc stands back from the door, but if he sees a clear shot, he fires a ray of Chill Touch into the room.

OOC: To hit: [roll0] (is it at disadvantage? if so, the worse of that and [roll1]); if a hit, damage = [roll2] necrotic.

EDIT: 3 damage!? ugh.

Thaliss invokes hellish flames below one of the watery giants.

OOC: Move: none.
Action: cast creat bonfire. dex save DC16 or [roll0] damage. Note that all 1's are treated as 2's (from elemental adept feat).
Also, The giant can't finish its turn in that space or it takes dex save dc 16 [roll1] damage again.
Question: does the watery giant seem more affected by the fire than it should?

Kubeba whoops with joy and launches himself at the creatures, his magic weapon almost sings as it cleaves through the air and it finds purchase quite easily in the soggy flesh of the creatures.

The ogres are dodging, though what little good that seems to do them here.

Three strikes and one of the two ogres is dead.

Maighan has an action.
