D&D 5E [IC] Escape from Castle Illvithar

The area seems oddly familiar. A sort of kitchen or larder is to the "west". Bloody tables with both fresh and rotten meat and drains in the floors.

Naeris moves forward to meet the halfling "Is it wise you bumbling around in the dark in front? we have seen how good you are with tra....." Naeris stops dead as he sees what is in front of him, moving forward he inspects the meat to see if it is of humanoid in origin "We should move out this meat is fresh" he whispers in a hushed tones. Naeris quickly and quietly moves back to the passageway and singles the dwarf to wait he then moves to the door and presses his ear against it closes his eyes and listens.

As you move into the room you notice that one of the corpses on the table is quite fresh. Fresh enough that parts of it are still moving.

You can quickly ascertain that it's the monster you encountered when you woke up chained to the column. It's head and limbs have all been detached, bleeding off the table into a drain. Apparently large copper nails were used to pin each still moving body part to the table in the north-west corner.

At the door you hear the sound of metal scraping on stone gradually growing more distant.

Naeris backs away from the door as quietly as he can "That is definitely like the creature in our room and its still twitching if you notice whatever killed it is now moving away from us i vote we regroup with the dwarf and find another path. Unless your feeling brave" Naeris heads over the the dwarf to relay what has been discovered.

"More uglies?" Koregar said, drawing his ax and hefting his shield. "Been itchin' for a real fight. Just tell me where to ram, and I'll make sure it regrets gettin' up this morning."

 

[Azurewraith]

Naeris looks at the others and nods as he draws his bow to full tension ready to unleash hell upon what ever is on the other side of that door.

OOC: Ready and action to attack what ever is on the other side as soon as the door opens and take up position in AI 37

 

[Forged Fury]

Whisper sheathed her blades and unlimbered her bow. Placing an arrow to the string, she stepped back several feet from the door and drew back the string of the bow. "Ready," she rasped.
