Morgan lay where she fell, unconscious and unbelievably bruised. Her armor was in excellent shape, however, seeing as it avoided being struck by every attack.

Jeni moves up to stand beside Hunter and the two are soon covered by a thick fog that doesn't seem quite right. The kobolds, leaderless and beset by strange magics, weigh their options and dissipate into the night, the skittering of clawed feet soon their only legacy. The lizards follow their masters and soon the party stands alone in the wreckage of the church's doorway, Venn kneeling over Morgan and quickly stabilizing her, pulling her out from beneath your prisoner.

The gentle snoring of two kobolds sounds over the stillness of the scene.

OOC: One captive, get.

OOC: Presuming someone squeezes a berry into Morgan's mouth...

Morgan stirred awake and looked around. Sitting up, she noticed the two sleeping kobolds.

"What happened?" she asked, wincing at her sudden motion. "Ow!"

"Welcome back, Lieutenant," Carad greeted Morgan with a hint of a faint grin on his face. Quite uncharacteristically, he added in jest, "You had a lizard infestation but you are better now."

In a flash, however, Carad turned sober again, gesturing to the the fallen dragonclaw. "Hunter, could you take care of him? I'll scout out back to make sure the coast is clear."
With that, he silently cracked open the back door to peep out first, before opening it slightly larger to allow his lean frame to slip out. Merging into the shadows of the exterior of the temple, he kept a watch out for enemies together with his faithful owl.

OOC: Stealth: [roll0]

Scree reports no local movement of the enemy, and Carad is able to slip out into the night. Creeping the edge of the church yard, he finds the refugees huddled in the darkness of the creek bed, waiting for the party's return.

In a low voice, Carad briefed the townfolk, "We've largely secured the area. Get ready to move." He then stood guard in the area, waiting for his team mates.
