Legend
Unless anyone voices an opposing opinion, he proceeds to shape change into a giant spider, and waits for Zerg to hop on. When he does, Aric-spider climbs up
GM POST"No, take me first. I can scout up there while you ferry the rest. And I can probably remain hidden while the reinforcements arrrive."
Lumrolur suggests as he loads his hand crossbow and checks other weapons.
Aric (in the form of a giant spider) skitters up the western wall with Lumrolur clinging to his furry carapace, climbing onto the wooden platforms above the rest of the party's heads by some 50 feet, near the edge of the dim light radiating from Alma's red-hued light spell. Their shadowed forms are faintly visible to the party through cracks in the wood.
A bucket large enough for a human dangles from a taut rope stretching across the shaft to the opposite wooden platform 15 feet away.
Immediately, Aric and Lumrolur can hear soft voices somewhere between a chitter and a dog's whine down the west tunnel (speaking a language neither of you know) – three kobolds are appraising a potential mining vein, the leader wearing a makeshift pair of false leather wings as he seems to be trying to explain something the other two kobolds are struggling to grasp. So far, the kobolds haven't noticed you.
To the north is a curving upward sloping passage with rough-hewn steps smoothed over by frequent use.
To the east is a mining chamber.
To the south is a chamber with fossilized material embedded in its walls.
