(IC) The Chaos principle

"Well Lads, I don't know how I can be usefull while we remain here. I am no wizards, and no priest of Selune, and I would doubt she would give me a sign just like that, but if you need any help, just tell what an old dwarf can do for you!"

Kharas finish his mug on that word.

"Well, there's always the utterly simple if slightly risky solution. Go to one of the planes and see what happens. If all is calm, then we know that the disturbance is elsewhere. If there is an army or someting like that, then one can plane shift back out or at least teleport away and tell the rest," Quilla says, trying to get a plan together, slightly irked at Susanna's bitter attitude.

"I'm afraid I only have one plane shift spell prepared today, so unless someone else has one readied or there is a scroll available, then my idea would have to wait until tomorrow.

"However, my original suggestion still stands, let us use our spells of divination to attempt to figure out this problem. If anyone has a drawing of a particularly prominant slaad, for example, I could attempt to see if one of them is leading more of their kind through gates," Quillia offers.

[OOC:] Does Quillia know of any particularly prominant slaad? Lords, Generals, or any creature that lords over or bosses them about? In her studies has she ever come across a drawing or something like that of any of them? Essentially I'm trying to see if I have heard of one of them secondhand and if I have a likeness of them to do a scrying on them with my crystal ball.

Susanna nods towards Dalaa and smiles politely, "Well god...sir? It seems that your help will become most invaluable over the coming days, good to see you on board."

Without missing a beat, she turns to Kharas: "Well good dwarf, I think you underestimate yourself. I have a strange feeling if we face creatures capable of such havoc on a wide scale, your skills will certainly be needed. You may just have to build the most complex traps ever, for we will eventually need to capture some of these creatures to interrogate them, meaning that your skills will be desperately required."

Out of the corner of her eye she continues to study the githzerai, though willing to accept help from anybody and able to understand that every creature is capable of goodness, she cannot help but feel uneasy with a resident of a chaos plane listening into their plans...

"Quillia," Susanna starts once more. "If we travel to one of these planes randomly we may not see anything, for many of the Chaos planes are Infinate, we could arrive anywhere. And even if it looks somewhat strange, we may never know whether it is a normal part of the plane of something extra-ordinary, unless Dalaa of course is verse in these matters."
"As for scrying," she wrinkles her face, "a good idea dear, but I'd personally like to narrow down our targets before we start spying, there are spells out there that can do much damage to our cause if they sense us spying too early."
"I hate to shoot down ideas, but until we get everything from the honoured archmage, we may be resigned to sitting here and waiting...or we could just summon a lesser Sladdi here and interrogate it of course."

With that last comment she give a sly smile and a wink to Quillia.

OOC: Can I make a religion check to discern whether any particular deity makes use of Slaadi often, or counts them as part of their faith?

"Nice idea, lads! Well, if someone can give me a parchement and a quill, I could make some plan of traps to build and capture some of these foul creature. Hmmm.. what are those creature are able to do exactly, not very familiar with extraplanars creature. Old wizards was more interested to protect their lairs with undeads or construct..."

ooc: Quillia you have heard of the Slaadi Lords but no one is sure if they are real or not for there are no confirmed sightings, and no you are not sure of any particular Slaad you could use for scrying.

Susanna: No god in Faerun uses or counts Slaad as worshippers tho with some time you could probably find reference to one or more instances where Slaad have helped followers of a Chaotic god or two.
