(IC) The Chaos principle

"Well, planning a good trap is not that hard when we talk of humanoids, but those frogs, I'll need to learn a bit more. What are they able to do. If they can teleport or planeshift, we will need a dimensionnal anchor for sure. I need to know as much as possible on them, and the one thing pretty important is how they have lauch there attack since the start. Do they regulary try to pierce the same place? If so we may have some luck. If not, it may take time before they fall in a trap, as I will need to find where they will launch an attack.

And the brigthest of them, that must be a leader of some kind, so he will not be on the front line, except if he is an arrogant fool. So, tell me what you all know on them, there habits, their powers, and on how and where they attack."

"Slaad have no leaders that I am aware of; the priests of Lathander spoke of them as creatures of purest chaos, with neither rhyme nor reason to their actins."

OOC: Sorry all i was sicker than a dog yesterday. I will post more later.

Phoenix: Yes to the XP if you are planning on casting xp draining spells.

elendel watched the others from the corner of the room, still not making a noise or movement, almost shakes his head. The brown haired wood elf, more confortable in the wind then in the middle of a city, felt out of place with the others in the room. He had worked with others in the past, but usually worked alone, so was not used to speaking or being spoken to, so remained in the shadow's embrace.

The solutions from his mind always originated from his skills and what he could do, so the talk of magic, and planeshifting, though not completely foreign to the experienced ranger, were the furtherst thing from his mind until the others brought them up. Even still, he had a hard time considering them true options.

His plain cloak, tunic, and trousers blended well with the shadows in the corner he had chosen to watch from, and he had nothing of orniments that would catch the light. If the others could see him, they would wonder what he was doing here with the other, odviously experienced adventures, for his clothing and equipment did not share the spender that was normally asociated with the powers that most of them held.

He was also courious why the man who charged this group did not share more information, if he knew it. Like areas of contact, the areas most effected by this wave of frog men, the orginization of their attacks, whether or not the frog men seemed to be acting in unison, ect. Elendel would have brought it up, but lacked the knowledge and will to speak to someone of the kings standing decided to let his quiries slide.

As it was, Elendel was thinking of heading out to follow one of these bands of frogmen's tracks to its origins to see what he could see. He shrugged, mentally, and continued to watch the others in the room as they once more reminded him why he was more confortable away from the city and large crowds.

Susanna looks across the gathering and puts simply:

"Unless anyone has anything else to add, shall I begin the summoning? Takarna if you would be able to place the containment circle, we can begin."

Harald stops and turns back into the room. "You'll need a hand if it gets out of control, I expect?," he rumbles, his sickle-like claws flexing.

"Well, with so few information on the Toad, I will have difficulty to do one good trap, but I will start to draw something. If you have any more information on them, tell me, it will help me to do something better.

And did sir Khelben knows anything one them too? There powers or tactics?"

"I warn you that the creature that I am about to summon will no doubt be very high in the ranks of the Slaadi, so if you wish to study the powers of them, it will be your chance."

"Many have heard of the powers of the common slaad, and the more learned of us may know much of even the powerful Death Slaad. But the spell I am about to cast will bring forth a power greater than any of them, and though technically I shall be in control of it and be able to return it once we are finished questioning it, I would be wary. Be respectful and fearful of this creature, for it may return to have revenge on us for this summoning one day."

"A Death Slaad that survives for a century dwells in the chaotic 'centre' of Limbo for some time, eventually transforming into a slaad of the purest white. These White Slaadi are very, very rare, and more powerful than many of the greatest dragons of Faerun, so do not say I am not warning you."

The bear grins, and it is not a friendly grin. "I have wrestled with a green eight hundred years old, and broken the neck of Malar's proxy with my hands. A circle of eight beholders could not bring me low with their magics, nor could a Zulkir of the Thayvians. I am ready for this milk-skinned toad."
