Expecting a frog like creature, and seeing a rather common Ogre instead (though one that is better equiped then most Elendel has met), raises the rangers suspitions. He peers at the creture with his eyes, and the more delicate vibrations of the OGres interferience on the air itself to see if it's a desguise or alteration of the creatures true form. He has seen such before, and though he supposes it's possible that the gate pulled such a creature forward, he finds it hard to believe.

Elendel studies the Ogre carefully, it appears to be an Ogre but as you say a better equipped Ogre than most

Polymorph? Elendel thinks to himself as he looks at the Ogre, brows furous of consterantion. Well, once more this proves to me the inconsistancies of magic. Oh well, at least there are others more experienced then I to deal with this... developement, he thinks as he continues to aim his drawn bow in the 'Ogres' direction.

Susanna looks at the creature for a moment before calling to the others:

"It is possible that the chaotic effects that effect our world may effect the magic I have cast, though I doubt it..."

"Creature! Reveal your true form to us all, my magic binds you under my control for only a slight duration, but it is absolute nontheless. You will show us your true form, and tell us all of your nature and heritage."

Elendel keeps his beed on the creature as the slight gardener goes through her questionings of hte ogre, hoping that the information they recieve will point them in the right direction, otherwise, he may have to look into the matter himself, and he'd rather not go against a wave of frog folk by himself.

Anyway, the King went through a great amount of expense to hire him through the Cresent Moon orginization... though he's not sure he was needed, looking at the group at the kings desposal.

Takarna waits, careful not to stand in anyone's line of fire and ready should should anything go wrong. Susanna and Quilla could do the talking, they wanted the thing here, they can talk to it. He'll just join the clean up team.

 

[Zerth]

Dalaa will let Susanna do the talking, but he is ready to offer help in the questioning if needed. He will watch closely how the ogre-looking creature acts, trying to find any clues in it's speech and gestures. Anything at all, that would make one believe the ogre isn't what it seems to be.

The Ogre hesitates for a second and then its form shifts to that of something way beyond a simple Ogre, before you stands a quite large pure white to the point of a light glow around it humanoid toad. it radiates an aura of Chaos the items previously mentioned are still present on its body.

A voice permeates your mind, "This is my true form born of the elders more than 500 of your years ago. Behold in your pathetic sight my glory and form. I am a Slaad more powerful than you can hope to become, end this trifling now and i will spare your lives!" With that he makes throat clearing noises. almost as an after thought. "By the way.." it says in a condescending voice "whom ever drew this circle, I am Chaos not Law and a Circle will not stop a called creature. Now lets get this over with what do you want?"

*Startled at the ogre's transformation and claim, Quillia nevertheless steps forward to talk to the creature, though she still stands out of its physical reach. Preena sits next to her feet, trying to look fierce. The gnome woman bangs her staff on the ground once and stands very straight, a sober expression on her face.*

"Tell us what you know of the slaadi attacks as well as anything you know of the planar disturbances. I am not inclined to be patient, so speak swiftly and with truth," Quillia demands.

*Quillia will also take a readied action to use a disintegrate spell on the slaadi should it become actively hostile.*

The Slaad looks at the gnome and with a snear. "Well Snack your world is at war and has no real knowledge of it. The Slaad attacks are terror attacks before the main onslaught begins." He pauses a moment to let his words sink in. "Several portals have been opened between Pandemonium and your realm to allow the Chaos of that plane to seep into your world to make it more hospitable for our forces."
