(IC) The Chaos principle

"Well, lads. You want to travel in planes? Dunno if it is good for an old dwarf health, but as I have never travel outside this continent, I won't miss that chance."

"No time like the present, if we're ready. What preparations do we need to make? I know we have enough plane shift spells to get us in and out, so that's covered. Does anyone have some additional protection spells they want to cast?" Quillia inquires, looking eager to go.

Protection spells? Elendel asks himself silently. I'm not worried about protection spells. What I'm worried about is food, water and surviving in a different plane of existance. I don't think they follow the same laws as the natural world I know, so I have NO idea what we need. I'll have to listen closely to see what the more knowledgable of us has to say. The strange tall... person seems to know the ralm personally, so I'm sure he'll have some suggestions. I hope my mudane skills do not become obsolute with the new realm we are to travel to... will anything be the same? Will I have to aim differently? Will it have air for us to breath... or for my arrow to travel through? Will there still be tracks to follow? Ground to follow them on?!

Elendel, nearing close to panic, calms himself down with an effort of will and sighs silently. As I had said... I'll have to wait and see. Perahps pertections spells are exactly what we'll need to survive in that foreign place.

"I know there is no time like the present, but I think we should really wait for the Blackstaff to return before we go," he sighs, "I was hoping to get some data on the creature's traits and immunities before it left, but it resisted my spell. I seem to recall," he fixes Dalla, "that your people get a fair ammont of traffic. I've never been to the capital but I take it that it is much like any metropolis on the prime?"

"Ready? I am ready to build traps of all sorts, maybe except magical, as my brother is not with me, but for travel, it depends. What looks like that plane you want to carry us? The old dwarf I am is used to old dungeon, caves and city, so there may be one or two things I need..."

Seeming distracted from the decision making process for a time, Susanna concentrates on the area in which the Slaad stood, making sure that the creature was gone for good (you never know with these things).

"I guess I am ready as ever, it seems that our albino friend may be waiting around any corner in the near future though, I would be careful every one of you. No doubt he will want my head first, but should any of us show signs of weakness he will no doubt kill them mercilessly."

"Before we leave, do any of us know anything about this Citadel of Silence? I would hate to drop in on a place unannounced, there may be local customs or offerings we have to make before we gain access to their information."

OOC: Using Knowledge (planar) +18 to remember anything about the Citadel of Silence.

Dalaa Gand, Githzerai Monk

"I know there is no time like the present, but I think we should really wait for the Blackstaff to return before we go," he sighs, "I was hoping to get some data on the creature's traits and immunities before it left, but it resisted my spell. I seem to recall," he fixes Dalla, "that your people get a fair ammont of traffic. I've never been to the capital but I take it that it is much like any metropolis on the prime?"
Dalaa turns to Takarna. "I can give you some information on the Slaadi powers. Commonly even the weakest forms are somewhat resistant to all forms of energy and their grotesque bodies are able to heal wounds rapidly. Any attack using sound is utterly useless against them. As we just witnessed, the more powerful forms can change their appearance at will and their skin can only be pierced fully by a weapon of law."

"As for the githzerai cities, yes, they commonly have visitors from many planes. The capital Shra'kt'lor is the largest and heavily fortified. Anything you'd expect in a city of that scale can be found there."

Dalaa looks around to gather everyone's attention. "One final warning. In Limbo, it is adviced to stay inside the cities, which are stabilized areas and free from the constantly morphic and chaotic nature of the plane. No laws of nature you have accustomed to prevail in the raw areas of Limbo. Those with strong minds can shape the raw chaos around them as they desire, but such ventures are always risky. Using magic outside of a tended area could produce unwanted effects."

After talking with the Slaad who left a couple of minutes ago,
you have talked about the new plan of action. It seems decided
to go to the Citadel of silence.

ooc: excerpt from the convo with the Slaad
"Seek the citadel of Silence with your magics while in Pandemonium."

At this point there is a disturbance in the room as several
beings appear in the room.

The White Slaad, 3 Human Men w/ Longswords
and what appears to be a Gnoll with Jet black fur, glowing
red eyes, and Batwings appear in the room.

The Slaad has the gear previously mentioned but the Sword
is drawn.
the 3 Human Men have swords out but do not appear to be wearing
armor.
The Gnoll is in Full Plate and has 2 Short Swords on his belt.

ooc: Quillia your Arcane Sightis almost overwhelmed by the magic that just
entered this room. Many enchantments are present at this time.

The White Slaad scans the room. "Now you all die!"
