okay...let's use the ooc thread for our chatting. JustinCase will be having to sift through all our off topic posts to figure out where we are.
[MENTION=6776182]JustinCase[/MENTION]: Current situation:
You and Surana are up front facing Turvy. Bertram is behind you and and used a help action to give you advantage on your next attack on Turvy. Ezraen is in back concentrating on bless and watching for Topsy who has disappeared and is looking for a way around. Surana did 9 damage to Turvy so he is wounded a little but not bloodied.
"Pick out your spots," Ezraen whispers indicating down the tunnel to just where it bottle-necks. "Maybe you can ambush her and use me as bait... Bertram, get behind me."
Ezraen looks back down the tunnel and readies a shot.
Surana stands frozen in horrified confusion for a moment as the wererat collapses. She had seen Erevan's vicious hit--was it actually so bad that he'd just killed Turvy? Turning to her companions with a questioning look, she sees Ezraen poised with the crossbow and exhales with relief. She laughs and slaps the half-drow on the shoulder before turning back to the tunnel to watch for Topsy.
As you breath a sigh of relief you start scanning around for Topsy. You're not sure where she got to. There are all sorts of side passages and boulders. Then you realize that you are not in a passage, so much as just a space between two large boulders. A shadow passes from the space above and before you realize it, Topsy is diving from above!
OOC:
Attack on Ezraen from hidden:
Bite: [roll0]
Adv: [roll1]
Dmg: [roll2]
Claws: [roll3]
Dmg: [roll4]
Note on stealth: Topsy's action last turn was to hide. I make the stealth roll not when a creature first hides, but when it first matters (such as when a searching character might see the hiding character or when I hiding character is attempting to maneuver for an attack). So in this case, I made the stealth roll just before she leaped out to attack Ezraen. Her gnome trait "Stone Camouflage" trait allowed her advantage. She only has advantage on one attack because once the first attack hits or misses she is revealed.
Here are the rolls (int check to see if she could find a path to you and stealth with advantage)
