I really ought to make the adventure that I ran at the October 2nd Game Day in DC available. As it seems that it would be an excellent choice for running a HARP one shot. At the very least, the folks who played in the game enjoyed it.

I will have to rewrite the adventure a slight bit to make it more readable, but that should not take me more than a couple of days. I will also include the 12 PCs that I used in the adventure.

Something like that would go a long way, I think, towards getting folks to try HARP (when coupled with this $2 offer).

Looked over HARP. I'm going to need to read it more in depth. Will do so after I have printed it out. Anyway, does anyone know how easy/difficult it would be to run older ICE/MERPS adventures with this new system?

It should be relatively easy. Both use the same basic principles (though implemented in a slightly different manner).

You should be able to just determine a general modifier to add to the MERP characters and monsters to bring them more in line with HARP characters.

There is also a RM to HARP conversion document on the HARP website that you might be able to use as well.

shameless reminder
Our webmistress was told to put it up on RPGNow on Tuesday (IIRC). From what I am told, it has been submitted, but for some reason has not shown up yet.

I wil be getting her to follow up on this later today (she works from home, and her AIM entry is marked as "away" right now).

That would be cool if you did that...it would be a free downloand, right? Having a demo one shot adventure would make it easier.

Now that I have HARP, what do the other books provide that the main book doesn't?
