ID this monster!

First Post
I've been trying for ages now to figure out who/what Mandoom (from the LJN line of toys) is supposed to be, and I finally managed to get a complete description from his card. Unfortunately, it is very vague, and I can't quite place what (if anything) he is supposed to be.

Here's the description:

Mandoom is a very fierce warrior from a very strange place. He has golden skin, square eyes, and appears to be made of stone. Mandoom is often called to this world by magic users who need his help in battle. He always carries gold weapons and wears golden armor when he goes into battle against enemies of the magic users.

He sounds like some kind of celestial creature, but can anyone recall if there is any sort of monster/creature from 1E/OD&D that might match this description?

(Here's a link to his picture if that helps any, and another link to a carded pic, to get a sense of his size relative to other creatures- as you can see, he's taller than a normal man- Grimsword, in this case.)

he is a Kelmain.

Fortunately I have access to my copy.

Kelmain
FREQUENCY: Very rare
NO. APPEARING: See below
ARMOR CLASS: 2
MOVE: 12"
HIT DICE/POINTS: See below
% IN LAIR: 85%
TREASURE TYPE: H
NO. OF ATTACKS: 1
DAMAGE/ATTACK: By weapon type
SPECIAL ATTACKS: Nil
SPECIAL DEFENSES: Immune to petrification and paralysis
MAGIC RESISTANCE: Standard
INTELLIGENCE: Very
ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Neutral
SIZE: M (6')
PSIONIC ABILITY: Nil
Attack/Defense Modes: Nil
LEVEL/X.P. VALUE: Variable

These creatures are a savage race from the dimension of Limbo. They have golden skin that appears to be carved out of rock. They are humanoid in shape and have square eyes. The Kelmain fight in golden-colored armor and usually wield golden-colored broadswords. When summoned, they will fight on the summoner's plane until the battle is won, and then keep the land they fought over. They appear in fighting forces of 10-10,000 depending on the power and desires of the summoner (and the referee's discretion).

The bulk of the army are 1st-level fighters. Additional leaders are as follows:

Number of Troops Additional Leader
5 1st level 2nd level
10 3rd level
50 4th level
250 5th level
1,000 6th level
5,000 7th level
10,000 8th level

Thus, is 10,000 Kelmain troops appear, they will be led by one 8th level leader, two 7th level leaders, ten 6th level, forty 5th level, two hundred 4th level, one thousand 3rd level, and two thousand 2nd level for a total of 13,253 Kelmain. If ten troops arrived, there would be one 3rd level and two 2nd level leaders.

There ya go.

Wow- you guys are awesome! Thanks a bunch!

(Now if only someone out there has the description on Skyla's card- she was one of the rare 1" PVC characters from LJN...)

#115 Skylla Magic-User

Skylla Evil Magic-User has silvery dark hair, stands 5'10", weighs 131 lbs., and has flashing dark eyes. She favors gray clothing, although she always wears her golden demon headress and her goledn demon girdle. Skylla carries a magical staff, a staff of commanding. Once she was a student of Ringlerun's, but when she was exposed to the Heartstone (she wasn't one of the PCs in XL-1 Quest for the Heartstone btw), she began to seek out the evil, harmful side of magic. Her lust for power grew until she broke away from the good magician, seeking personal gain and power. Because the Heartstone did not affect Ringlerun, she has grown to hate him for what she feels is his "soft and stupid" use of magic.

This is the coolest thread ever. EVER! The geeky knowledge available on ENWorld just overwhelms . . .

Now somebody needs to write up a 3E conversion of the Kelmain with advanced stats for Mandoom!

You've just been itching to use that pic, havn't you.

Anyway, yeah. Totally. Convert the stats. I'd love to toss these into my game somewhere. Particularly love the "Summoned me, eh? My land now!" thing they've got going.
