Ideas for a Pulp Heroes Campaign

Any suggestions for specific adventures in between? I was thinking a Casa Blanca knock-off, a survival horror mission with the vampire, and them teaming up with a big game hunter to hunt down some Nazi scientists who turned themselves into dinosaurs.

There's all kinds of stuff that can happen in pulp.

With the Nazis & Martians, you've got all kinds of people looking for all kinds of artifacts. Odds are high that they'll be in
  1. ultra-remote environments- hidden mountain cities like Shangri-la in the Himalayas, Arctic enclaves of Martian thralls, or lost temples in the jungles of South America, Africa, Asia or maybe even uncharted islands.
  2. Private collections of the very wealthy. Cue high-society event with either a sneak-thief who must be caught or an armed invasion with hostages.
  3. Major museums like the British Museum of Natural History, the Armory at Leeds, the Smithsonian, the Louvre, the Hermitage, or even the Vatican.

Then there is incidental stuff. Pulp Heroes often find themselves in adventures during their down-time...or even on their way to other adventures:
  1. Attacked in the Sargasso by "Atlanteans"
  2. The luxury liner upon which they've booked passage is attacked by pirates, or runs aground on an island that simply isn't supposed to be there. (Think of Jules Verne's The Mysterious Island, H.G. Wells' Island of Dr. Moreau or even something more modern, like the James Bond adventure, Man with the Golden Gun.)
  3. A murder mystery on a trans-continental express railroad.
  4. Plain vanilla crimefighting: A bank robbery or kidnapping, the killing of a dear friend or trusted contact

Plus, if you look in my sig, you'll see a link to a thread FULL of Campaign Ideas by dozens of posters.

They take a train from Northport to San Francisco to make a delivery, but this means going through the Dust Bowl. The train gets ambushed by a bunch of robbers led by The Dusty Gent, who is acting as a Robin Hood character. But The Dusty Gent is actually Woody Guthrie! The train they were riding was delivering a ton of opium and they team up with him to stop it.

Like DA, it sounds a little like a game I started to run a while back, although mine didn't have the Martians, and had more occult in it. I ran it in Champions and based it off the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but set in the run up to WWII. The PCs were invited to a mysterious meeting in London, from which they went on a world spanning tour in an attempt to locate a number of magical gemstones before the bad guys could grab them and use them for their nefarious ends. It didn't get very far, but I'd almost consider doing it again, maybe as a pbp, if I could find a system other than HERO (which I knew well enough to make up characters, but a lot of people don't and is a bit of a learning curve for new players).

If you are OK with a) spending a few bucks, and b) not worried about systems, just ideas, then have a look at some of the Pulp adventures done by HERO. They are $3 each from DriveThru, a selection here:

DriveThruRPG.com - The Largest RPG Download Store!

Titles include: Tablets Of Destiny, Fangs Of The Scarlet Serpent, The Voodoo Cross, Pterodactyls Over Broadway, Valley Of The Spider Queen and the ever popular Nazi Death Zombies!

And quite a few more on HERO Games' own site:

EDIT: Yeah, yeah, you must spread XP around before giving it to DannyAlcatraz. Stop making so many posts about stuff that's cool, dammit!
