Ideas for optimizing a whip based character.

I play a whip-weilding character in Sagiro's game; he's a half-orc cleric 5, rogue 7, lasher 5. With a whip that's optimized for tripping and all that lovely sneak attack damage, he's possibly the most effective party member when getting his sneak attack (say, while improved invisible.) Decent strength, high dex and con, lower everything else. Most importantly, he's a blast to play.

I'll second the idea that you should consider giving your villain some spellcaster levels. As I recall, there are some spells (and perhaps even a feat, though I can't remember what or where) that allow you to deliver a touch spell via your weapon. That extra reach can really help when the minions are smacking the players good and you're doling out something really rat-bastardly!

I didn't think to add this bit of info before, but now as I re-read the posts about spell-casting I realized I should have stated that this character is going to be used in the Midnight Campaign setting. Duh on my part. I was so involved with devising a "bad guy" and reading these great replies and it never occurred to me to state that fact before.

So duh for the second time. (It's been a long week.)

Now with this new pivotal piece of information.
Does anyone know how I could accomplish this using Midnights' setting?

Thanks for understanding my duh.
