They don't live under water, they have the option of nearly indefinite stays...

gore (1d8+1/2 str)
may take scent as a feat
+2 to wilderness lore when tracking by scent

I'm thinking a feral off-shoot of orcs who traded in strength for other gifts plus mental ability

Looks good, and sounds good.

Some other variants besides those in the DMG could be

Deep- More than subterrainean this variant of sub race comes from way beneath the sunlit lands. And is usually more stout, and gruff than others of its kind for instance a Deep Halfling is more stout, and gruff than a normal halfling. Possibly a Deep Creature inherits the Stonecunning ability similar to a dwarf, or perhaps the spell like ability to detect precious metals, and gems

True- Creatures with this subtype are the stereotypical versions of there race. True elves are fair, and mystical, with a fey quality (perhaps even a fey template added) they live longer than the average elf 2,000+ years and in general remain aloof from the world of mortal men.

Stone Breathers
+2 str -2 dex +4 con -2 cha -2 int
size medium
speed 20ft
nat armor +3
stone cutting as PHB Dwarf
Stone walk - a stone breather walks through stone as if it were air, this allows them to pass through stone walls and such. of course they cannot use equipment or fight while in stone. Also they may change their verticle position (go up or down) with a concentration check the result of which is how far up or down the breather may travel.

Favored Class - Psion or Druid(if no psionics)

Auto languges - Terran & Common
Bonus - Dwarven, Undercommon, and Gnome

How's this?
ECL +1 possibly +2 depending on the campiegn
(Also wild orcs get 8+int mod skill points)

Looks good

Though it should be Stonecunning as per the PHB Dwarf, and as I think of it the Stone Breather should be more a Savage Species Race, with a Monster Stat as well .... but such is life. I like your racial stats much thank you.
