What would D&D Next look like if it ONLY contained things that have been dropped as the editions went by?

Comeliness might be the only attribute.

Many spells would cease to exist, but wizards would be able to heal (cureall, D&D Masters Set).

Initiative would be rolled each round, but for the entire group.

Thac0 and negative armor.
morale rules
different xp charts for different classes.
Paladins and rangers can only have 10 magic items in possesion
dwarves can´t be mages and everything magical but weapons and armors have a chance not to work for them.

You could only get XP from gold. Monster XP and story XP would have to go away.

Spells that age you are back. Happily, so is WISH!
 

No clerics, only specialty priests.

No psion class; everyone with an Int, Wis or Cha of 16 or higher has a random chance of having psionics.

Nilbogs wielding anything items, with an egg of desire as their treasure.

Cavaliers start out with negative levels and gain d12 hit dice at 1st level.
Every class can have a kit that goes with it.
Weapons vs. armor table.
Bard requires you to take fighter and rogue levels first.
Segments.
Dual-classing for humans, multiclassing for demi-humans.
Demi-humans.
 


Races have favorite classes, and there are multiclassing XP penalties.

All weapons do 1d6 damage.

Flumphs.

Random treasure tables.

Spheres of Annihilation.

Carry sulphur and bat guano to cast a fireball.

Identifying an item takes 8 hours for no reason.
