If they weren't in the phb, would you allow the new pc races in your campaign?

Voted yes on tieflings and eladrin. Dragonborn leave me completely cold and uninterested--I probably won't bother actively banning them, but I'll almost certainly never play one and won't shed a tear should all of my players choose to ignore them as well.

Sure. I've got no beef with new races -- it's gutting the old in favor the shiny that bugs me.

I actually like eladrin, modulus the lollipop guild teleport power. I prefer elves in ornate armor, wielding longswords glistening with eldritch force, to namby-pamby tree hugging hippies.

I voted "none of the above," because honestly? If they weren't in the PHB, I wouldn't have given them a second thought. Not because I hate the new races, mind you; I just never wouldn't have thought "gee, what my game needs is another type of elf...and a couple more human hybrids, too." I would have been perfectly content to leave them in the MM, and let my players ask for them on an as-needed basis for special character builds.

But now they are in the PHB, which means they are on my table. (shrug) I'm withholding judgement until I see them in play, but I'm not impressed with what I've seen so far.

I am liberal as a DM. So long as they can RP it, and it is balanced for their level of play, I generally allow my players to use it.

My first too be 4E setting yes to Eladrin and Tiefling, in fact both are very, very tied into my setting.

My other setting based off a mix of Conan, Ancient Egypt/Rome/Sumerian, with a touch of Neil Gaimanesque Gods, has both Tieflings (Roman style) and Dragonborn (Nomadic Arabian warriors also slaves of Tieflings) as core races.
