If you have a Dex penalty, does that apply to your Flat-Footed AC?

The entry for Constitution says apply the modifier to Hit Dice rolls. So undead get to do that as well, right? It says to right there.

Sure. Undead get to apply their Con modifier to their hit dice rolls.

The page 8 reference is interesting, but interpreted literally it makes no sense. My common-sense approach to rules tells me that this is just poorly written :).

Threads like this make me think that the rules-lite guys sometimes have a point....

Heres how I picture the flat footed AC. Remember that a score of 9-10, with a bonus of 0, is AVERAGE. So if you have a -1, your clumsy, your slower than the average to react. So say, you were to put your hand on a hot stove, but you didnt know it was hot. We will say you are flat footed since you are unaware. But your not helpless (tied up and placed on the stove), your able to react, but its gona bite you first. An average person will react and pull back at an average speed. You, are slow and clumsy, and take longer to pull away from the danger you are now aware of, hince you are easier to hit.

You dont fall into the blade, your just slower than average to pull away from the blade, hence you get a negative to your flat footed.

0 modifier is average, you can be less than average.
