Sadly, the States is remarkably backwards in certain regards.

14-16: you can drive
15-17(?): you can get married.
18: you are "legal"... and can die for your country.
21: You can drink.

I guess the politicians here wants us a bit drunk at the polling booths (Drinking + Voting age= 18).

18, oh dear I'm a young blood here, and yet I'm the 2nd oldest of the players in my group (by 19 days). It makes everything I've done feel worthless. I mean, I started playing near the begining of 3e.

I believe other polls like this asked "what year were you born" which then stays accurate as time goes by...

I don't understand this statement at all. I mean, it's like you're assuming that the year in which I was born never changes.



When asked, I'll admit that my mother will swear that I'm 33 (if she ever wants to visit again). When polled anonymously, I'll put the real number... which, um, is also 33! Yes!

I'm old enough to barely remember the first showing of Star Trek. I'm 45.

Wow... I remember people acting like I was old for recounting the premiere of Star Trek: the Next Generation. Star Trek is 40 this year, isn't it?

Born in 1974... the same year when D&D was invented. Coincidence? I think not.

Actually, I saw another poll some time ago in which it appeared that the *majority* of D&D players (at least those who answered the poll) were born in 1974. :/ Was there something about growing up in the '80s that made you particularly susceptible to D&D? Is it merely a sad generational trend like "Jem" and disco? What do younger players, people in their 20s and younger, think?

27, myself. My group is actually kind of young overall, though. We have one fellow in his early thirties, one in his late thirties, two in their mid-twenties, and a few folks in their late teens.

I'm the old fart in our group with 26. The rest is, I think, 4 years younger than me. The young punks
