If you were to give the Tarrasque Paladin Levels...

Stemming from the thread on how to deal with a tarrasque, and then, the idea to raise it's Int, make it understand your speech, diplomacize it into being friendly with you, and giving it a ring of sustenance, I wondered what that would wind up doing to the critter.

Such, as, say, imprint it on the diplomacy character, so it decides to go and become an adventurer. And if the character gave it decent moral standing, it could become a paladin.

Because I find the idea hilarious. Tarrasque, in gleaming armor.

Weilding... What?

Really big sword?
Morning Star?
Polearm?

So, the question is, what weapon would you give it?

Domino,

Actually I've considered the OPPOSITE effect for a Tarrasque.

In a world I created a while back, a powerful god (similiar in temperment to Tharizdun but with more flair and also personality), found the hatching ground/prison of the remaining tarrasque. He chose the last mature one as the others were either too old, too young or afflicted in some way because the gods feared them so.

He imbued this particular tarrasque with a strong portion of his own divine essense, increased ALL its abilities, gave it huge bat-like wings, the ability to alter its size and shape somewhat (mostly it's size going from 8 feet tall to it full height in a round, and the ability to mimic demonic, daemonic, and devilish forms), two breath weapons (ice and fire), and a sword that is kind of a D&D version of Mournblade. (As my god had its "brother" Stormbringer.) The sword would shift in size with it but basically it was a greatsword/two handed sword/claymore called Enbringer.

He then sent his newest emissary, dubbing it/him Jhenneth, the Beast, into Hell, then the Abyss, and finally the rest of the Lower Planes, to organize, unite and also basically kick around all the fiends until they were a lean mean, fighting machine known as the Supremecy.

But that's how I pictured an "evolved" tarrasque.

Whadda think?

Although greatswords are the statistically best option, I see it with a huge iron morningstar. Lots of jagged spikes. And looking more like the 2e Monstrous Manual version. The new tarrasque looks cuddly; that thing looked mean.

Demiurge out.

Demi,

Agreed, the 2nd edition Jeff Easely version was EXTREMELY bad ass looking.

But not sure I'd go with a spiked mace unless said Tarrasque was also a cleric of say Hextor or some similiar deity.

How about...teeth? Or a gigantic stomping foot...

I'd like to see a tarrasque use a sling. A boulder slinging sling.
