If you're switching to 4ed, what are you switching from?

I'm switching to 4ed and I'm currently playing...

My OD&D plus house rules has lasted through many editions, but I have to admit that 4e is a better game for high fantasy. It is so much fun to play that I am seriously impressed across the board.

I feel bad for my buddy who is stuck in a 3.5 campaign. I suspect the players will revolt within weeks. I will probably start running 4e tournaments at conventions starting this September at the Gateway Convention in Los Angeles.

When I say switching, right now I mean switching *part* of my gaming energies to 4E. I'm not stopping my 3.5 games, but I will be starting a 4E game online in a couple of weeks.

So basically 3.5-4E for me.

Ditto. I see no need to choose one or the other.

Well, my group's 3.5 game probably wrapped up this weekend. So I guess I'm switching from 3.5. That said, had 4e not come around, I probably would have moved to something other than 3.5 anyway, most likely Cthulhu, at least for a time.

ATM, playing Shadowrun 4e, and involved in a 3.5 D&D campaign (mine, which will be going to 4e), about to play in a 3.5/3.0 game started up by one of my players, and in chargen for Mutants and Masterminds.
Also, there's that 1e and OD&D game that gets broken out a few times a year. :)
Really wanting to get a Traveller game going too.

Well, 3.5 wasn't before 4e my preferred system, but it was what I most commonly played because of my friends liking it. My preferred system was, nWoD (especially Changeling and Promethean).

Now, nWoD and 4e have equal footing for what I want to play.

Odd, I just recognized that the OP is asking "who's switching" to 4e.
Does this mean that many of you aren't going to be playing 3.x (or whichever edition you favor) anymore?

Well, when it comes to D&D I am not playing 3.5 anymore. Though as I put in my post above yours 4e and nWoD will get equal play.

Many (but not all by any stretch of the imagination) tend to stick to one game system, hence the switching.

And to answer your question. I doubt very much that I will ever play 3.5 again.

While I'm currently running a 3.95 campaign or what have you, I plan on running a Basic, 1st Ed, or 2nd Ed campaign (first time in 14 years) alongside my 4th Ed.
