illusionist + divine Oracle?

I play this level 8 illusionist(prohibited schools Necromancy + divination). I have been accused to be a second rank mage from the rest of the group just because I can't cast identify spell. This in spite of my considerable offensive and defensive capability. Those ungrateful bast...s :)

To solve this problem, I'm considering to get the Prc Divine Oracle at level 9 (Defender of faiths). This class allows me to advance as a wizard but access the prestige domain divination which includes identify as one of the domain spells.

The new spells are copied into my spellbook according to the description of prestige domains (page 77 of DoF). The list includes identify, augury, divination, scrying and commune.

Is this contradictory in any way to my divination prohibition as illusionist?

Thanks.

Yes. You'd cast the spell as a wizard, and as a wizard you are forbidden to cast divinations.

And people accusing me as a second rank mage would soon experience a lot of troubling sounds and sights. Got level 5 spells already? Give them a damn good nightmare

With ventriloquism, you can let "them" insult people in taverns or somewhere else.

Then cast leomunds trap on some chest you found while foraging invisible, and let the rogue figure out how to disarm that one.

Cast Nystul's Magical Aura on some mundane Items and let them run to some wizard who tells them it isn't magic. (Be sure that they cast the detect magic spell, e.g. the cleric)

Make a major image depicting the clerics patron deity and when he doesn't make the will save, let it reprimand him for doing only lip-service.

Create an illusory wall somewhere.

Give some brutes (or a city official) the appearance of some half-nude busty wenches with the veil spell, and drop the illusion as they start to pick up the "hot chicks".

After a lot of embarrasment they won't call you second-story wizard again... :D
