I'm Back...Sorta

Haakon1,

I haven't got the ghost of a chance of remaining on this vale of tears :uhoh:

I do not partake of any sort of blood pudding, thanks

If you come to a con in Lake Geneva I'll spring for New Glasrus nut brown ale, India pale ale, and their excellent barley wine. The brew I would love to try is the Samuel Adams aged wine-from-beer!

Cheers,
Gary

I'd very much like that, Gentle Author, but this summer I'm getting married. With two weddings in two countries and two sets of long-distance relatives wanting holiday visits, I'm running very short on time off from work. I'll see if my fiance is up for it in summer 2008 though.

Sam Adams aged-wine-from-beer? I'm not familiar with that, but I checked out their website -- it looks like you might mean Sam Adams Triple Bock or Millenium. Both are legal in Wisconsin, but not where I live (in Washington State) or about a dozen other states. It must be really good if there's a law against it!

As for shades and the vale of tears, I remember thinking long, long ago that the Mage of the Valley was a shade . . . perhaps it's something you wrote in the MMII, or perhaps it was just my imagination acting up again.

It was written as such in the Greyhawk Adventures hardcover, which was written by Jim Ward. His name was Jason Krimeah and he was trying to become a shade.

EGG's Mage of the Valley was Basiliv the Demiurge.

Howdy,

It is a pleasure for me to say that indeed I am feeling much berrer. I plan to go to the boardgame afternoon at son Ernie's place tomorrow, that being the first time attending since the beginning of October.

The Milenium that I am referring to. I'll have to see what the charge for the distillation comes to.

Attending a LGGC anytime us likely to be most enjoyable for anyone that likes a small and informal con, so come on in! Lake Geneva is a tourist town, but there asr a nymber of interesting things to do for non-gaming spouses and cildren that come.

Cheers,
Gary
