What a relief it is for me to be feeling well enough to want to do some posting...and even a bit of work...

Sadly, I have heard that shingles can return in a different location, but I do not plan to allow my immune system to get run down again.

The Packers and the Bears are almost as close to Canada as are the Lions, and the Seahawks are easily as close. Pick one of those teams to root for until the Lions improve. It is so annoying to have a favored team get trounced each season.

I have managed to keep up my end of things with the Castle Zagyg projects--town detailing and cadtle/dungeon levels--reasonable well even with the shingles. Now I will be able to do a good deal more, expecially with the dungeon levels. The maps are nearing completion.

In May 2006, the Food and Drug Administration approved use of a vaccine to prevent shingles. The vaccine, called Zostavax, is recommended for people 60 years of age and older who have had chickenpox but who have not had shingles. Researchers estimate the vaccine could prevent 250,000 cases of shingles that occur in the United States each year and significantly reduce the severity of the disease in another 250,000 cases annually.
