I'm Done with "I'm Done "Threads

In the spirit of Lampooning what is becoming a regular occurrence, I am going to reveal loudly, publicly, and with great fanfare a feeling of the most personal relevance....I am sick of " I am sick of" threads... ;)

The irony is of course overwhelming.

No offense to the poster that recently quit 3.5, (D&D I cant quit you), but some days I am sick of bagels, but I do not go into a Noah's Bagels, stand on a table and shout to the rafters.

I am being facetious, but I find this desire to come onto a message board, that was created for, and for the most part devoted to 3.5 D&D and very publicly quit. If you want to discuss problems with the system, go ahead, we do all the time. If you want to be talked off the proverbial ledge...then go ahead, and make a thread stating that, I'm sure ENworld can oblige.

It just strikes me as odd to go onto a message board devoted to a particular game, and then publicly bash the game and quit. Thanks for the resignation, but there is nothing I can do with it.....I do not own D&D :p
Is this a new cultural trait, the desire to be public about something?
The desire for anonymous attention, (because really a screen name lets me connect so well with someone)?

As an aside, Rules bloat is a very unconvincing argument to me. Inelegant or poor rules I understand, bloated rule no. You never have to use books or rules you do not like. D&D at it's core is about people getting together to share a creative process, (and to kill things and take their stuff). The 1E DMG is a perfect example of potential rules bloat, almost no one used every single rule, (1 in 6 blows is to the head), people used what they wanted to use, and ignored the messy bits like specific weapon modifiers vs specific armors.

You do not like AoO or Massive Damage Fort saves blow them off.

amen brother amen

You know, I have to agree.

I don't mind the threads where someone posts "I'm not liking X system anymore, what do you guys recommend?" Hence why I don't even bothe reading "I'm Done With..." threads unless it's obvious that the poster is looking for advice on another system.
