I'm dying to know: Are Eric Noah and Piratecat coming to GenCon?

Probably the next time Russ goes will be the next time I go, though it pains me to think of it that way. Part of me thinks "Come on, man, it will be fun!" But the reality of it is that last time I went I spent 75% of the time just wandering around with nothing to do (though the other 25% made up for it). If there's a year when Russ and Kevin and Henry and a few others I know personally are going to be around, you will probably see me there.

If you come you'll meet new people and make new friends.....I promiose you will, its like the first day of school. At first you are scared you won't know anyone, but once you get there all becomes good!!

Given the blast I had hanging with you guys two years ago, The next time you and Russ and Kevin are there, I'm planning to go. In fact, if I play my cards right, I may even go next year, so as that date approaches, I'll be askin' around. :)

I had a blast 2 years ago, but I can say with authority, last year ENWorld was much more organized and had more of a "Community Feel" than the year before, at least for me. With our own table set up outside the dealers hall, there was always a place to meet up with people and go find something to do, wether it was game, shop, wander the art room, or just sit and chat for a while. This year is looking to be even more organized, with scheduled pickup games and other events being planned.

So next time you decide to go, I'm sure there will be PLENTY for you to do, and those percentages will flip the other way around. Plus, we really need to have a "Gathering of the Library Folk" :)

Lamest. Excuse. Ever.

There's still room in my pick-up games. You could very easily fill your schedule with volunteering at the Ennies booth, checking out the swag with other Enworlders, playing in pick-up games.

I agree that Gen Con is WAY more fun if you have a friend there. But I've met enough ENworlders to have friends there at this point. I intend to hang around with someone all the time if I can manage it.

And here I am, a GenCon first-timer, troubled by the fact that I think I signed up for too much!

Nothing to DO?! I've got open space in both my Orcz! game and one of my Sky Galleons of Mars games AND there is still room in our Round Robin DMing game! Plus there are parties on at least two nights and at least one open slot at the ENWorld booth!

Mister, I will FIND something for you to do! You will NOT be bored if you come this time! NO SIR!

(CL told me this drill instructor routine works well on you librarian types. ;))
