I'm going to be a guest of honor at a convention!

I'm going to be one of the guests of honor at a relatively new and small convention (somewhere between 500 and 1000 people) in Warsaw, NY on June 4th and 5th. It's called Mystic Festival and, while more oriented to the Renn Fair/New Age crowd, this is the first year they are offering gaming. The other guests are pulbished authors in the fields of nonfiction writing concerning witchcraft and wiccan practices, I believe.

If anyone here lives near this area, you might want to check it out or at least come by and say hi. One of the vendors will be having RPG stuff (based upon my recommendations) plus I will have Bastion Press product on hand to sell and autograph. :)

I'm flying into Buffalo on that Thursday, so are there any gaming stores that are "must visits"?

So, cool eh?

Congratulations! Be sure to have fun!

I always find the small cons a lot more fun since there's more time to spend with gamers. A con I was at a few years ago (I'm always very excited when people pay to fly me to a con and my job is to run games all weekend!) was a blast since everything I needed was in the same building. I had 4 days locked away working and gaming.

Thanks guys! Needless to say, I'm excited about this one. It's the first con where I can go and not have to actually work (per se), but have fun and cut loose. I am giving two workshop seminars on game design and publishing and I might run a charity auction game (that's still up in the air). The neat thing about this con is that the whole thing is being done as a benefit for Community Harvest. Admission price is only a canned good.
