I'm in the RPG industry... sort of

A few months ago I volunteered to help Behemoth3 proofread an adventure they were putting out. Tav contacted me and I helped out. And then a couple of weeks ago, he contacted me again and I helped proofread their next Masters and Minions book which, by the way, is really, really cool.

Anyway, I just think it's so danged cool to do this. I mean, I know it's just one company and all but a) it feels great to give back to an industry that gives me so many hours of enjoyment and b) it's nice to get a "call back" and be asked to help on another project.

Sorry, but overall, I have been less impressed by editors and proofreaders in the RPG industry. Yet I still hope I can be wrong.

Don't worry, unlike me, fans prefer to blame the publishers. (Actually, I too would fault publishers for not hiring the most qualified editing and proofreading staff.)
