Im looking for a simple program that will let me name a list.. and then i can click on it and it will randomly play songs from the list.

For example , say i want to click on combat, so whatever music i have in combat will randomly play.

iTunes, Windows Media Player, WinAMP, Songbird...

Basically every decent media player has the ability to make a playlist and shuffle it. You might need to look in the help documentation on exactly how to do that, but most of the time it's just a matter of adding all the songs to the current playlist, pressing shuffle and then saving it.

Okay the thing is.. i want a play list for combat, a play list for travelling , a playlist for towns etc etc. And i dont wanna shuffle through all of my already 100's of premade playlists.

Are you saying that you have SO MANY hundreds of playlists already that you don't want to have to sift through your playlists to find the playlist you want? If so I'd say you have some options.

First would be to give your new playlists names that will cause them to appear at the top of the alphebetical order of your playlist LIST.

Second is to just get a seperate media player and make the playlists in that seperate player, so if you normally use iTunes for your hundreds of other playlists then for your gaming playlists you fire up Windows Media Player instead which only has your gaming playlists.

Third is to delete a few hundred playlists. Can you possibly need or use them all? I mean you can make a new playlist every week without fail for two years before you have hundreds.

If that's not what you're asking then you need to clarify where your problem is.

I know with WinAMP and WMP you can save a playlist as a file, so then you can just put your gaming playlists into a folder and double-click them to start the songs. In iTunes, you can probably use the Search box to find a playlist quickly.

What program are you currently using?

Learn to organize your files and folders. :p ;) :D

Just make a folder to put your RPG playlists (and only your RPG playlists) inside (if that's not enough make multiple folders for game/campaign/session/whatever) and name them aptly and it will be a breeze to load them with minimal mouse clicks and switch between them when needed.

Bye
Thanee
