I'm playing a what?

let me second druids...

Not only do they get healing, but a lot of rather nifty combat spells. And, well, Wild Shape. And lots of skill points/skills.

In my estimation, Wild Shape is a great way to have poor physical stats and 'push' them. As it is, having a 13 Str for something like Power Attack and then changing into bear form would be fun...

In any case, Druids are versatile, useful for healing, useful for attacks, can hold their own in a melee, and very appropriate for tribal types.

A barbarian calls on the strength of the bear to become stronger and tougher. A druid calls on the strength of the bear... and becomes a frickin' bear. ;)

I resent that remark, I'm only speaking like a min/maxer because I read enworld. ;) I used to be a roleplayer! Gotta give smack back, baby. :D

It also takes one to know one! :D

So, you're interested in the Cleric to Azuth or Mystra. If you think your DM will deviously use Dead Magic Zones, then you've got to consider Mystra. Otherwise, I'd recommend a cleric to Azuth.

I would picture a hom, Cleric 1 (to Azuth), go to 3rd (to get some basic healing, etc, and you can offset it with magic items. At that point, if the party feels like it needs some Arcane firepower, go Sorcerer for three levels and then go Mystic Theurge that will take you all the way up in both spellcasting classes (Sorc and Cleric).

I would put your best stats on: Wis, Cha, Dex, Con, Str, Int, in order.
