Granted, after the first year or so of the release of 4e, any WOTC employee that made the mistake of wandering over here got flash mobbed, but, it has quieted down considerably since then.

That's uncanny! After they stopped coming here, they weren't flash mobbed anymore ... what a coincidence! :D

I like to think that they have taken my advice to heart, which I have given here several times.

WotC should not try to communicate with the fans, because someone will take whatever they say as a deadly insult. So WotC should just retreat to their lofty castle and let the fan community dream of the ideal D&D, while cursing the current custodian.

For if there was no WotC to screw things up, someone else would have to take up that burden, for the sake of gamers all over the world.

I cannot xp Maggan unfortunatly. But thanks for the giggle. I do think you aren't all that far off the mark to be honest. They're pretty much buggered no matter what they do.

there is a good game. But ya.

Naw, given the dynamic you have described, it is simply more efficient to write blog posts rather than forum posts. That way, the people that are going to misread everything you say or focus on one stray thought out of all context--can replicate this experience over forums and time without you having to write those passages over and over.

If you are gonna do the time anyway, might as well enjoy committing the crime. :p

“I think that all good, right thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that all good, right thinking people in this country are fed up with being told that all good, right thinking people in this country are fed up with being sick and tired. I'm certainly not, and I'm sick and tired of being told that I am!”

'nuff said!

I hate edition wars and all that goes with it. Why is it necessary to slam an edition you don't like. And why is it necessary to be blind to any design flaws in the edition you do like.

I hate complaints about edition wars. Everyone knows 6e is the best; all those clueless 5e adherents just don't understand what D&D was meant to be! D&D without holography just isn't REAL D&D. B-)
