I had my PC thrown into a lava puddle at the bottom of a 20' pit. Stupid evil cleric was a good deal stronger than he looked... Very fatal and the party was a little gutted - I was carrying a good deal of the cash.

City of the Invincible Overlord...nope wait... maybe it was City of brass...Hand of Evil said:River of lava, pit of lava...I thought these were all part of the evil overlord SOP![]()
Forget pools of lava, this is inspiration to go look up the rules in question and use them to make lava elementals that engulf their victims.Henry said:No, I've never used it, but you've just given me inspiration to.![]()
Whatever you do, don't get your legs chopped off while jumping over a lava river. You'll get stuck on the lava-river bank, catch on fire, and, well, you know the story.Janx said:Granted, heroes can do lots of things, but in general, you can't just stand next to the flowing volcano river and chat it up with the BBEG. It's too darn hot and you'd likely catch fire.
Janx said:technically, lava is supposed to be so hot that you can't approach it within some number of feet. Saw it on a volcano show on TV.
