Improved Overrun

Question - Does the Overrun action allow you to overrun multiple opponents at the same time with one action?

For example

P=Player
O=Opponent
X=Empty square

Can player P overrun both the Os in the middle as part of a charge action against the O on the end? I understand this involves 2 attacks of opportunity and 2 overrun checks as he charges through. Overrun is a standard action, but the description says nothing about whether or not you can overrun multiple targets as part of the same action.

3.5 PH p.157:

'You can make only one overrun attempt per round.'

As the description of Improved Overrun doesn't mention any changes to this it remains the same.
