Improved Saving Throws

I took the feat aestic(sp?) mage from Complete Adventurer, which, among other things, let's me add my charisma bonus to my AC when I would be able to add my wisdom bonus (hence the level of monk).

After everything is said and done, I have an AC of 33 (10 base + 5 from the Robe, +9 from Chr, +5 from Dex, +2 from Nat. Armor, +2 from Ring of Protection). My touch AC (which should exclude Armor and Natural Armor) is 26 (10 base + 9 chr + 5 dex + 2 ring of protection) and my Flat Footed AC is 19 (10 base, 5 armor, 2 Natural, 2 Ring of protection).

A monk's wisdom bonus applies to his AC even when he is flatfooted. Due to the ascetic mage feat, your charisma bonus replaces wisdom bonus here, so you should get +9 to your flatfooted armor class.

I'm actually surprised you didn't at least consider Favored Soul (Complete Divine) instead of Monk. It also gets +2 all saves, and armor use, and divine spells (making it great for using divine magic items).

If Charisma is your key stat, Divine Grace (Paladin, and many other prestige classes) would be pretty powerful for your saves.

Evasion (Monk, Rogue, Divine Oracle, etc...) and Mettle (Pious Templar, Hexblade, etc..) both give significant benefits for making your saves.

Isn't there a set of items in the latest Dragon? I can't remember what they were, and I don't have the magazine here, but it was a set of three, and each one gave a bonus to a different save.

Sorry for the lack of specifics. I'll post again if I have a chance to look through the magazine. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? If it wasn't in the latest dragon, then it was in the August 2004 issue (I was looking through both last night).

Wow. I'm so helpful

Gray Elephant: The gray elephant amulet of good fortune gives its wearer a +4 luck bonus on all Will saving throws. The owner also gains the Blind-Fight feat as a bonus feat as long as she wears the amulet.

Hope this helps! It was in the August 2004 Dragon,
