D&D 5E in search of a holiday adventure

Of course I wouldn't do something like that - don't be ridiculous.

LOL. I'm sorry! I really like the effort you put into your modules. It's just that sometimes they're a little too silly for me. As much as I'd *love* to run things like your Mario adventure, I just can't bring myself to do something that silly. I guess I just like my D&D to be more on the serious side.

To be honest, I've always better at determining what I *don't* want than figuring out what I do want. I get really indecisive, especially when I have to make something up for myself. I was really hoping to find a premade Christmas adventure I could run more or less as-is, but so far I just haven't found anything exactly to my liking. So far the best thing I've found is that Christmas Carol-themed one I found on the Penny Arcade site.

Really glad I ran across this thread. It inspired me to write up a wintery adventure for my kids. Just the spark needed to keep the campaign going...thanks!

Is he kidnapping elves and using them as slave labor to keep his toy-making empire profitable?

How did you know?!

I forgot about that one. It looks fun. I don't think it would fill up an entire session, though, so I'd need to come up with some other stuff with which to bookend it. Hmm ...

Could be one of three Winter Quests put to them by a viking clan to earn their respect or something. Get back Flame Tongue, steal a Yule Log from a frost giant, and maybe convince the hoar-spirit to ease up on the snow during the winter celebration.

That could work. Will have to give it some more thought. I'd probably have to tone down Frigga's Lament, too, since I'll only have three 5th level PCs for this adventure.

Since 2011 (it started as a table of Beyond the Crystal Cave), I've been running a crazy little campaign set in the Feywild, most of the stories are twists on fairytales... I guess it's taken it's toll.

If any of my players can make the session between Xmass & New Year's, I'll have to run that, though. I can throw in a little Nightmare Before Christmas when they start rescuing elves and come upon the Drow workshop...

I'm working on a short-form scenario now where the PCs join The Silent Knight - an oath of ancients paladin who has taken a vow of silence - on a quest to remove a curse from the legendary treant, Tannenbaum. In order to do this, the Silent Knight, her squire (a drummer boy), and the PCs must travel over the river and through the woods to bring a piece of a fallen star and place it atop the treant. Tannenbaum is guarded by parasitic mistletoe dryads whose kisses impart disadvantage to saving throws against their Fey Charm ability.
