I can see how being able to act out in a safe environment to express emotions or indulge in a bit of having clear "we win!" moments would be helpful. There's a lot of things you have to repress in real life just to get through the day when in high stress situations, I can see that TTRPGs would be a chance to act out a bit in a healthy way.
