Yeah I totally screwed up that entire combat.

I had basically decided to just bite the bullet and bring in a new character but Destan wanted Motega to live on.

So as Funeris siad, my new PC becomes an NPC that we'll see shortly.

Destan and I worked out the details on my 'return' so it would make sense and might play a role later in the campaign but it never came up again.

I will note here that the Rorn are more of a druidic faith and do not follow the Valusian gods, so none of the problems with the rules for raisng the dead.

Not to say that reincarnation can't get a little hairy.....

Who cares - it makes for a good story, which is all that really matters. :)

Yeah, the apology was only half-hearted :p

Besides, its the way it went down for us. Its only proper it plays out the same way for the readers. :D

Oh...and it was also good to hear how many of you cared for Motega. It makes me feel good that I could bring about that emotion through my askew viewpoint.

I'm sure hobbit_killer enjoyed that too. Sadly, all those posts were lost in the Terrible Crash of 2006.
