Sorry for the slow reply...

If you want... the rules are a little different, but by all means. I'll also have some iconics hopefully that you can use. Nothing too fancy though. Make them 5th to 7th level with 32 point buy. No magic in this world to speak of and so don't worry about that... you CAN however have a couple of "excellent" items gained in your looting. See the rules on pg 116-119 of the sourcebook for more info.

EDIT: Oh...also we could make them there... I only have the one book tho...

A point buy? We can't roll them up?

32 points? Maybe I don't understand how this system works, but won't that give us an average ability score of 5? (32/6=5.3333)

I really would rather just roll the dice (I have always despised point buys, but I will do as you want, but I don't know if I can play a character with straight 5s).

Not having read to see if there are any differences between Black Co. and standard D&D's point buy system, but in standard D&D you start with an 8 in each of your stats and work up from there. And of course in standard D&D point buy the cost goes up the higher the stat goes up. I'm assuming Black Co. does the same.

Personally, I think random rolling is fine if you have no idea what your character is going to be. If you know exactly what you want to be playing, random rolling is no fun. And most games outside of standard D20 use a point buy system of one kind or another for that reason.

Sorry for not explaining point buy. If you are really against it then you can roll 4d6 drop the lowest. Sorry again for the late responses... I'm on a weird schedule these days. We'll have some time to do some things when I get there if you're not fully ready.
