I was just looking at the latest additions to the SRD, and I was wondering what precisely the difference between the Incantations of d20 Modern and the Epic Spells of D&D are...

Can anyone enlighten me?

Are the incantations of d20 Modern the same as the incantations of UA?

The systems for UA and epic seem similar, but the difference is basically power i'd guess.

Epic spells are for epic characters only.

Incantations are for anyone, even non-magical characters.

And also note - unearthed arcana contains rules for incantations as well as d20 modern.

And while similar, they're not exactly the same. Urban Arcana also has way more examples than Unearthed Arcana. Although they're more generic in Urban Arcana as well.

d20 Modern Incantations are basically the Epic spells of Urban Arcana. You don't need to be a spellcaster to use them, but you do need ridiculously high skill bonuses (as with Epic spells). Incantations generally reproduce 6th level spell effects (or lower level spell effects for spells that weren't deemed appropriate in Modern, like polymorph) - normal spellcasting tops out at 5th level spells.

Are these in the SRD?
