Incorporeal and Damage Reduction?

How do these two interact. Can an incorporeal creature affect creatures with damage reduction if the incorporeal creature itself doesn't have Damage reduction.

Also can a creature with DR 5/+1 or more attack incorporeal creatures.

The two abilities don't seem to interact at all.

If you have DR 5/+1, and a spectre touches you for 8 points of damage, you take 3 hp damage. You cannot harm the spectre with your natural weapons, unless they are explicitly magical (as with the Magic Fang spell).

Nope. Touch attacks bypass damage reduction.

Actually, no, you take 8, since touch attacks bypass DR.

DR only affects hit points of damage; ability damage is another thing altogether.

Ooops, that's right. I overlooked that bit. Looks like DR is 100% useless against incorporeal creatures.
