Increasing damage done by half HP monsters.

I recently dropped all monsters' hp by half (except with Elites and Solos), to avoid the grind we experienced in our group. Now I am thinking about also increasing their damage, to compensate this change, but I'm unsure by how much. I was thinking about several possibilities:

- add a die of whatever weapon damage the monster does.
- add the monster's level to the damage, or half of it's level.
- add the party's level to the damage, or half it's level. (easier to adjust than the second)

What do you think of these? Other recommendations? Also, what should be done with ongoing damage?

I haven't experimented yet, but I think simply adding 1/2 Level to all attacks, and ignoring fiddly bits like ongoing damage, would work fine for creatures with 75% of their normal HPs.

I'd have to see the math, though.
