Increasing Max Dex?

First Post
So I've poured over the MIC ...

Is there an Armor enhancement that increases the Max dex of a set of armor? I think there was one in the MIC that cost a +1 bonus and gave a bunch of other things I don't need.

Any help from the sages at ENworld would be greatly appreciated.

Nimbleness. +1 cost, increases Max Dex by 1, decreases ACP by 2.

Yeah that's the one I don't want. Mithral Chain means that I don't need the ACP decreased.

Looks like this is going to have to be a homebrew property.

Yeah but it increases you Max Dex, which is what you do want, right? Being a tad bit picky to create something all new just to avoid taking the ACP reduction benefit, aren't we?

What are you trying to avoid? The cost? Even without the ACP benefit, I'd still price it as +1.

I'm trying to avoid paying for something I don't want. In a realm of specialization in weapon and armor enchantments and forging I find it odd that an enhancement like this doesn't exist.

If it's going to cost me a +1 bonus I want more than just +1 to Max DEX. (More like a +2 to Max DEX) . That enhancement found in the MIC also cannot stack with itself, so the armor can't be re-enchanted to scale with the character.

Only if you treat RAW as gospel.

Looks like I'm off to create a few new armor enhancements.
The problem is that if you have Uncanny Dodge, an increased Max DEX modifier is better than an equally increased armor bonus, because:
- It increases your touch AC
- It doesn't count toward the max enhancement bonus of +5 of the armor

That's why people say that it should be priced at +1 minimum. Not because they rigidly adhere to RAW.

If I'm playing in your campaign and I wanted a magical sword, but I didn't care about increasing its Hardness and Hit points, would you let me get a +2 sword for the price of a +1? After all, I don't care about that other stuff, and I don't want to have to pay for it if I don't want it.

Right?
