Can't help wondering why the Government isn't behind this?
Have a Govt backed team of supers who each serve as a PR face for a company or corporation to help ease tensions because there ought to be supervillains out there as well as promote the hell out of the more popular "heroes".
Would explain Elastigirl being recruited and not the others, but sooner or later she's going to need backup my guess the kids figure out what's really going on!
