Ink & Quill (Free Download)
by Thomas Knauss

The power of the written word has shaped nations, defined societies, and brought power to the people. Words impart knowledge and wisdom--attributes essential to survival but unattainable through force of might. It's force is subtle, but felt by all.

Ink & Quill brings the elements of the written word into your game, providing prestige classes, historical background, professions, and other essential information on how scribes exist in a d20 campaign world. From the barrister and the scribe to the composer and playwright, Ink & Quill brings new options into your d20 world.

Wow. This is neat stuff. I'm rather surprised you're giving it away for free. :D
(Not that I am complaining.)

For those folks who complained that there was nothing in Song & Silence for bards, there's definitely more meat in here for you. (My personal favorite so far is the Warrior-Poet.)

There is more detail than I will probably ever use for spellbooks, but it is good to have it anyway. The new protective spells are quite nice too. (Why didn't you put this up before my PCs went and arrested that wizard? ;))

Thanks, Bastion Press!

I saw this thread and had to check it out. I'll admit I've only glanced at it but I must say it looks pretty good. I was very disappointed with Bastion Press after I bought "Where Dark Elves Rule" but this has salvaged your reputation with me. Kudos to you.

I'm glad there are folks out there filling the Bard void left by WOTC. If you like "Ink and Quill," you may want to check out "The Enchiridion of Mystic Music" by S.T.Cooley Publishing (available at RPGNow). Between these two there is a plethora of cool new stuff for your bards. I know I can't wait to play some of the stuff found withing.

(And, no, I am in no way affiliated with S.T. Cooley Publishing, just like the Ench. of Mystic Music a lot.)

WOW! This is something right up my alley (my campaign focuses on alot of sage, writing type material). The context and artwork is awesome as well! I'd glady pay for something of such fine quality as this. Any plans for quality material such as this in the future for freebies? What made you decide to give it for free?

Thanks

Another awesome freebie. You could of easily just had a couple page teaser and sell Ink & Quill at RPGNow. Thanks Jim and Thomas.

Peace and smiles :)
