Innovative In-game Cuisine

The idea for stoneflesh is pretty twisted and cool.

From my campaing, the only thing that comes to mind is that the wizards of the coastal city of Il'Adyn serve up jellyfish from the purple waters of their bay.

In some of my older, high level campaigns, a lot of the characters developed a taste for dragon steaks.

In my Shadowrun campaigns I have served PCs sushi made of water elemental (don't ask how--they wanted to blow 5,000-10,000 nuyen on dinner at an underground Yakuza restaurant). Also, they have found out the hard way about SoyaFizz (TM). It's made of people. Yeah. People. Tell the world. Whatever.

Ah, Walktapus Stew, and the drinks at the Grog Shoppe... Whine, Blear, etc....

Walktapus Stew was strange. Walktapi (a humanoid with a Octopus' head) regenerated... You eat it, once, and you're ALWAYS full! In 3.5e D&D< I assume that Troll Stew would work about the same. Boiling it would slow down the regeneration, but once it cooled enough to eat, look out! Your stomach acid might be enough to take care of it, but of not, you could find yourself feeling rather... over-full! (It's like [U[Alien[/U], all over, again!) :uhoh:

Then there's the question of the morality of eating sentient beings... Beholders? Dragons? All sentients! Would you eat a Dwarf? An Elf? A Human? Isn't that cannibalism? :]

A delicacy in the Republic of Hydebarad is grilled Chuul tentacles. While on the open grill, Ky'Husa (a local alcohol) is poured over them, and they are quickly extinguished, and served while still smoking. Apparently the paralyctic venom is the secret to the intense flavour kick they have.

There is actually a real-world analogue to this, in Japan Pufferfish sashimi is considered a delicacy, even though it must be carefully prepared to avoid having lethal levels of pufferfish toxin. The tounge and lips typically become somewhat to completely numb while eating it.

Technically it's only cannibalism if you eat someone of your own species, so munch away!

Edited for spelling

Elves are veryy tasty, they serve well with elven wine. Mostly in small chunks as an appitizer though
The bullette in my current party disagrees, saying that elves have a gamey taste. He much prefers humans or monsterous beasts.

Ah! So now you're telling me that the Demi-Humans aren't Human. That Homo Duralis isn't Homo enough for Sapiens Sapiens... BIGOT! :p
