INTERCEPT Mission One: The Sensible Initiation

Campbell's shot flies true, hitting Conrad Black square in the chest. Eyes open wide, he drops both gun and case, as he clutches the wound, and slowly slumps down the wall, gurgling incoherently. He's down, but not out, though if he doesn't receive medical attention, it's doubtful he'll make it. The two remaining bodyguards both start shooting up the staircase at Campbell, the bursts from their Uzis peppering the wall with holes, but causing little harm otherwise.

OOC: Due to the bloodbath campaign quality, all threats are automatically activated as critical hits.

OOC: As a result of my current frightened status, Sparrow will want to flee from the smoke - the only direction left is to go up, towards the combat. Obviously, charging recklessly through a firefight is probably even more dangerous than his fears.. (assuming there is even room for me to do so) what would be a reasonable course of action? I would imagine maybe attempting to bull rush them out of the way perhaps?

OOC: Possibly, but also, if you can't reasonably flee, you become sickened and take a -2 penalty with all attack, skill, save and damage checks.

OOC: Sorry about the delay, we've been having our DSL worked on at the house after the flooding. As far as Sparrow, I'll just take the sickened condition for now while I work on making an exit.

Sparrow stumbles up the stairs, leaning up against the guardrail and pushed as far against the wall as he can get. He approaches the goons firing on Campbell, grabs hold of the guardrail with both hands, and launches himself into the nearest guy in an attempt to push him out of the way.

[sblock] Trip Attempt. Attack Roll: 13 (14 + 1 BAB - 2 Sickness, http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=512061) Strength Check: 1 (3 - 2 Sickness), http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=512063 [/sblock]

OOC: Trip works a bit differently in Spycraft 2.0. You have to make an opposed acrobatics (dex) check against the target to try to trip them.

OOC: Oh sorry. Difficulties occur when you game from work without your books ;). Anyways, can you just substitute the improper check I rolled? Its still pretty much a horrible failure anyways, due to my sickness condition.

As Sparrow, in a panic, charges up the stairs and fails to trip one of the bodyguards, Campbell snaps off another perfect shot, drilling the other bodyguard in the chest, and sending him down to the floor. The remaining bodyguard, at this point, threw down his gun and raised his hands up in the air. "I surrender, don't shoot, don't shoot!"

Sparrow nearly crawls over the man that his partner dropped and makes his way to the landing. He flings open the nearest door, falls against it (to prop it open) and takes a few moments to compose himself.
