INTERCEPT Mission One: The Sensible Initiation

OOC: Audio bugs aren't tradecraft picks, they're electronic picks, but you can get around that by using a minature gear gadget pick instead. Remember, this overrules the mission gear already on your character sheet.

IC:

The dossier on Friedrich provides you with most of the information that INTERCEPT and various law enforcment agencies have gathered on him. Most of the reports are surveilance reports from agents who have infiltrated his organization. One important fact is that INTERCEPT is letting Fredrich operate freely, on the basis that he's only a middleman, and that it's been more useful is the past to just simply infiltrate his organization and find out who he does business.

On his recent transactions, he's made arrangements to have a car and an associate meet him at LaGuardia. As well, he's also rented a private lounge at the Citadel Club downtown. A fairly trendy hotspot, it's also known for providing secure, soundproof rooms for certain individuals wishing to perform certain less than legal business in private.

 

[Widowmaker]

Campbell will state to the assembled group. "My intial idea is to follow Friedrich at La Guardia. Spot him once he gets off the plane, goes through customs, or picks up his luggage. Follow the car to where ever he is going. Have a couple cars revolving around him to make sure we are on him."

"As to the Citadel Club that maybe a little harder. If they are using soundproof rooms the only way to beat that is to have someone inside or place a recording device that doesn't transmit inside the room. Then recover the recorder later." Campbell will state to the group.

 

[Ace32]

Sparrow smiled coyly, "Well, if this fellow is European, he may follow the Formula circuit. I might be able to smooze my way into his lounge for a drink. I'm can't promise I'll be able to plant anything on him easily, but its an idea."

 

[Wystan]

"Well, I can see if I can get a miniaturized audio bug disguised as a wad of used chewing gum and place it under the table. This would be a great way to try to record the conversation that occurs."

OOC: My way to make the 2nd bug work... Go Go Gadget Chewing gum bug...

 

[Widowmaker]

"Well mates, it sounds like a plan lets get to it." Campbell will say to his partners.

Campbell will grab his gear, both personal and mission, and jump in the car.

OOC: Shall we skip ahead to the airport, or is there anything you want to do before Friedrich arrives?

OOC: I have no objections to moving ahead.

1:35 PM, Eastern Standard Time

Friedrich's flight was right on time at LaGuardia, and the passengers were starting to disembark and go through customs and security. The airport was fairly busy at this time of day, but the crowd's weren't too thick.

Surveilance had located the car and associate waiting for Friedrich in the parking lot. The man was blonde, and wore a suit. The car was a white four door sedan, and was parked near the arrivals area. Fredirch's associate was leaning on it as he patiently waited for Friedrich to arrive.

 

[Widowmaker]

"Well mates whats the plan? Should we follow him or split up into multiple vehicles? Should I go inside?" Campbell will state.

 

[Ace32]

OOC: I'm pretty sure we only have access to the one vehicle I brought, the mid-size sedan (Chevy Lumina).

Sparrow eyed the situation carefully, "I don't think it would be wise to make a move before we reach the club. Anywhere else and he might get suspicious, but in the club we can genuinely seem to have social contact. Until then, lets follow him discretely and avoid being noticed. Splitting up might be wise, in case any of us is spotted and compromised."
